MARTA ANTI’S PRACTICE REFERS TO THE ADAPTABILITY OF THE MATTER IN THE CONTEXT OF A CONSTANT TRANSFORMATION. THE EXHIBITION SHOWS A SELECTION OF SCULPTURES AND THE VIDEO PREMIERE HAUT. HAUT IS A DOLL HOUSE/MUSIC BOX WITH FIVE CHARACTERS STUCK IN A SYSTEMATIC COMPOSITION. THEY ARE UNAWARE OF BEING INTERCONNECTED, RUNNING UNDER AN ILLUSORY WEB. THE VIDEO CREATES A VISIBLE REPETITION WHICH IMPLIES INNER DIALOGUES, INTERPERSONAL BONDS AND COLLECTIVE STRENGTH THAT SHOW THE POTENTIAL FOR BOTH REALITY AND POSSIBILITY. IT SUGGESTS THAT OUR INNER DIALOGUE, IN OUR ROUTINE, CAN BE CHANGED BY RHYTHM, MOTION, MOODS, SOUNDS AND THE EXECUTION AND QUALITY OF MOVEMENTS CAN CHANGE THE LOOP IN ITS CONTENT, WHILE THE STRUCTURE REMAINS THE SAME.
ANTI’S WORK IS EMBEDDED OF TEMPORALITY AND MULTI-DIMENSIONS , BUT THEY ALSO COEXIST WITH SELF-OBLITERATION: HER PIECES BRING TOGETHER ANTHROPOMORPHISM IN GESTURES, SKIN, POP CULTURE AND CONTAMINATION OF DIVERSE RANGE OF MEDIAS WHICH RECALL AN ENDLESS MUTATION PROCESS.
